It all began with a dream and a determination to defy the odds. At the young age of 25, as a minority female entrepreneur, I embarked on a journey to create something extraordinary. In 1994, against all odds, I opened a multicultural salon within the vibrant Cherry Hill Mall. Little did I know that this would be just the beginning of an incredible saga.
In 1997, we dared to dream bigger and bolder. Belliard's Spa was born, evolving from a salon into a haven of relaxation and rejuvenation, a Day Spa oasis. The road was far from easy. From the challenges of simply opening as a minority business owner to weathering the storms of the 2008 market crash and enduring the hardships of burst pipes that forced a nine-month closure, every setback was met with unwavering resolve.
And then came the ultimate test - the COVID-19 pandemic. Once again, our resilience shone through as we navigated through uncharted waters, adapting and innovating to ensure the safety and well-being of our staff and guests.
Despite the hurdles, we have emerged stronger than ever. Our commitment to excellence has been recognized time and time again, with accolades such as being awarded as one of the top 200 fastest-growing salon/spas for three consecutive years, nominations for prestigious awards like the Global Salon Business Awards - Entrepreneur of the Year, and being voted as having the Best Salon Atmosphere by SJ Magazine. Recently, we were humbled to receive the honor of being voted the Best of the Best in Spas.
But beyond the awards and accolades lies our true passion - our guests. It is to them that we owe our deepest gratitude. Their unwavering support, loyalty, and trust have been the driving force behind our success. To our incredible team, whose dedication and talent have brought our vision to life, we are forever grateful. And to my family and friends, who have stood by me every step of the way, offering love, support, and encouragement, I am eternally thankful.
As we celebrate 30 years of Belliard's Spa, we also celebrate the community that has embraced us and the opportunity to give back. We have continuously reinvented ourselves, from remodeling to include luxurious amenities like saunas and gardens to creating a party room for hosting unforgettable spa parties complete with champagne buffets and charcuterie boards.
But this is just the beginning. As we reflect on the past 30 years, we also set our sights to the future, with excitement and anticipation for the many more years of service and innovation ahead.
